How to Clean Your Engagement Ring

A dirty ring is dull. Clean it once a week. Soak it in warm water and a few drops of dish soap. Use a soft toothbrush to scrub gently underneath. Rinse well with warm water. Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use paper towels. They scratch gold. Do not use harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine. They damage metals. Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner at home. You can knock stones loose. Do not clean your ring over a sink. It could fall down the drain. Have your ring professionally cleaned twice a year. Remove your ring when using lotion, sunscreen, or hand sanitizer. Remove it before sleeping and before exercising.
