Wedding Website Do's and Don'ts

May 7, 2026

A wedding website is a central hub for information. Use these tips to create a useful and tasteful site.

A wedding website is helpful. Do include basic details: date, time, location, hotel blocks, and registry. Do include a map and directions. Do include a schedule of events including rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Do include information about the dress code. Do include an RSVP function. Do include photos of you as a couple. Do not include your full home address. Do not include a link to a cash registry on the main invitation. Do not make your site password-protected unless you have a public figure in the family. Do not overshare. Your guests do not need your love story in full detail. Keep the site clean and simple. The most important page is the travel and lodging page.
